Avery, a Shakespearean actor and trans man, returns to his rural hometown to reconnect with his former best friend, June. When an encounter with the Jersey Devil plunges them both into a theatrical otherworld, Avery and June must overcome old resentments and an older legend to find out what might have been if their lives had turned out differently—and what they might have lost along the way.

Set against the unique landscape and folklore of the New Jersey Pine Barrens, Pineys is a theatrical horror-adventure about reconciling with your past.
